Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a good candidate for this service?
Microblading is ideal for certain skin types with natural brow hairs that are beginning to thin out. The best results achieved with Microblading is when the work blends in with the natural eyebrow. Certain skin types will keep the crispness of hairstroke and colour longer than others. An experienced brow artist is able to assess whether this technique is right for you, and recommend other options if this technique will not produce natural looking results with your skin type.
What is the best shape for me?
The ideal brow shape for your face will make you look rested, bring out your eyes and brighten up your face. Depending on your face shape, we will design the right brow line and arch to suit you.
During our apppointment we will measure your facial features and bone structure and then draw on the eyebrow with makeup first. You’ll then be able to decide if you like the color, thickness, the position, the arch and overall look. Only once you feel 100% confident that it’s what you desire, we will then continue with the procedure.
What can I expect them to look like after?
The area will appear darker and thicker. This is normal and part of the healing process. You must keep the area as clean as possible to avoid infections. This also means you must not apply makeup to your brows until they are fully healed. You will need to keep your brows away from steam, immersing in water, and sweaty workouts for the first 7-14 days. But don't worry - you'll be able to shower and wash your hair every day. You must also stay away from direct sunlight (this means no tanning!) for at least 4 weeks following your procedure. This doesn't mean you have to stay indoors! A good sunscreen and a hat will do. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in a poor healed and color outcome.
Permanent Cosmetics is not for everyone. Please read Contraindications.
As this is an invasive procedure that requires the breaking of skin, potential clients need to be in relatively good health for optimal healing.

Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
have Viral infections and/or diseases
Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
Accutane in the past 2 years
Recently tanned or will be tanning within 2 weeks
CONDITIONS THAT WILL REQUIRE A DOCTOR'S NOTE:
Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system/ healing would NOT make you a good candidate for micro-pigmentation procedure.
if you are certain medications
have uncontrolled High Blood Pressure
have pacemaker or major heart problems
Which Technique is best for me?
It mostly comes down to your personal preference. While the powder brow works for almost everyone, many people may prefer microblading due to its current popularity. Microblading may not be suitable for everyone, such as those who have previous eyebrow tattoo that is still quite saturated with colour, very thin skin, or on blood thinners. We offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation if you would like to visit us and have us take a look at your brows.
How do I prep for my appointment?
To ensure best results, make sure your health is in good condition. Get enough rest, eat well, exercise.
48 hours before and after your microblading appointment: avoid alcohol and aspirin/ibuprofen.
You may bring in earbuds (no headsets) if you wish to listen to your own music, audiobook or podcast.
Does it hurt?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different! Most of the clients don’t feel anything until the anesthetic wears off and it is reapplied again. Many describe the discomfort that they are feeling as a tickle, scratch or winded feeling. Some clients might even fall asleep during the procedure. Discomfort varies for each procedure whether its eyebrows, eyeliner or lips
